Alex left the Portabolomics group in January 2021 and is now a Senior Scientist at the Integrated Covid Hub North East (ICHNE), Baltic lab. He is part of a team responsible for the delivery of 80,000 Covid tests per day. In Portabolomics, Alex worked as a molecular biologist on expanding the host range of plasmid vectors, as well as trying to understand what factors might limit plasmid replication.
